About Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow
In 2022, Dr. Mohammad Mubashir, a senior Alig and a prominent surgeon in the city donated 42,000 sq ft of land for the purpose of setting up an educational institution starting with a school. In this regard, a trust by the name of ‘Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow’ was registered on 12th December 2022 under the aegis of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association, Lucknow. It has been unanimously decided that the President and Secretary of AMUOBA Lucknow will be among the trustees of the Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow by virtue of their posts.
The ‘Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow’ is a non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian trust, established to uplift the weaker sections of the society, with a particular focus on the Muslim community. The trust has been exempted under sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act.
About AMUOBA Lucknow
AMU Old Boys’ Association, Lucknow, is a non-profit alumni organisation of Aligarh Muslim University. it was established in Lucknow in 1975 by prominent Aligs of their times with the core objective of uplifting the marginalized section of society through education.In order to promote the mission of the great eductionist & social reformer Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, AMUOBA Lucknow has committed to establishing an educational institution in Lucknow that can serve as a beacon for the socially and economically disadvantaged.In accordance with this objective, efforts have been made over the past several years to establish an institution dedicated to providing ‘Taleem and Tarbiyat’ to the newer generations.it is, however, a daunting task to awaken the community and persuade them that education is the path that leads to the eradication of their poverty and suffering.
About Sir Syed Mission School
Preliminary drawing of the Sir Syed Mission School building have been prepared in compliance with rules of the CISCE board. The estimated cost of this project will be 20 crores approximately, excluding the cost of the land donated by Dr. Mubashir. The initial plan involves establishing a school that will consist of classes up to the 8th grade, with further plans to expand its offering to include classes up to the 10th grade, and finally up to the 12th grade. In the first phase, the ground and first floors will be constructed, followed by the remaining floors in subsequent phase.
