Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah sb’s visit to the construction site of Sir Syed Mission School Lucknow on 9th Feb ’25

Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow recently hosted a site visit to the Sir Syed Mission School and Aiwan-e- Sir Syed, located on Hardoi Road, Lucknow. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of the school’s foundation work, which commenced recently as part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to promoting quality education.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Lt. Gen. (Retired) Zameeruddin Shah, former Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, and noted educationist Mr. Haseeb Alam from Al-Ameen Mission. Their visit marked a significant moment in the school’s journey, as they shared their insights and support for the institution’s vision of providing a strong educational framework.

Executive members of the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys (Alumni) Association were also present on the occasion as the Association is actively collaborating with the Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow to build and run the school.

Other special guests who spoke on the occasion included Prof. (Dr) Riaz Mehdi,  Prof. (Dr) Shakeel A Qidwai, Dr Saudul Hasan, and many other Aligarians and dignitaries from the city.

The highlight of the event was when Mr. Azmat Asif, a senior Alig promised to donate Rs 5 Lac for the school.

During the visit, attendees had the opportunity to witness the construction progress and discuss the foundation’s future plans for the school. The initiative aims to foster an inclusive and high-quality educational environment, keeping alive the legacy and values championed by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameeruddin Shah lauded the efforts of the Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow in establishing an institution dedicated to holistic learning. Mr. Haseeb Alam also emphasized the importance of such initiatives in nurturing future generations through quality education and guidance.

Chief Trustee Dr Mubashshir who donated the land for the school was also present and he made an appeal to support the cause of furthering the vision of Sir Syed.

The site visit reinforced the foundation’s commitment to uplifting education standards and creating opportunities for students in the region. With continuous support from educators and community leaders, Sir Syed Foundation Lucknow remains steadfast in its mission to build a robust educational ecosystem.

Er SM Shoeb President AMU Old Boys’ Association Lucknow hosted the program and Secretary of the association Ms Shahla Haque presented the vote of thanks. Er M Ghufran Vice President AMUOBA Lucknow, Dr Suhail Ahmad Farooqui and Mr Anwar Habib Alvi the Secretary and Treasurer of SSFL respectively were instrumental in the successful organisation of the event.
